We Are Remaining Curbside
We are excited that the pandemic regulations are changing, and businesses are resuming some normalcy to their services. Please know we are looking forward to having our pet parents in the exam room with us!
We have made the decision as a practice to remain curbside throughout the summer. This decision was made by ownership and management with the safety of our staff, patients, and clients in mind. Over the last year and a half, we have re-arranged our lobby, exam rooms, boarding, and other spaces to make additional exam rooms and treatment areas with a separation for inpatients and outpatients to minimize the interaction and stress among all the pets and wildlife. We also have some employees who are unable to get vaccinated at this time. Due to the nature of our jobs, we work in close proximity with each other and as such, we continue to wear masks inside our doors.
We have limited our interactions with the public to those who have pets hospitalized, are here for euthanasia, or for other extenuating circumstances. We still ask those clients to wear a mask indoors.
Please also be patient with us. As the island population grows, our hospital is still the same- both in space, the number of inpatient beds, and staffing. Please allow 2-4 weeks lead time for routine wellness appointments. Urgent care walk-ins can have a 20 minute to four-hour wait depending on arrival time, triage of a sick pet, and availability of a veterinarian. The staff is working as efficiently as we can to get your pet seen by a veterinarian.
Our goal is to make sure we are always available to treat your pets and our island animals. Please be considerate and understanding with us as we navigate the changing pandemic along with the surge in the summer population. We ask for your understanding and patience for a few more months until we can once again open our doors and see your smiling faces.
